  • 2023-2024 Budget
  • Reimbursement for Math & Science Olympiad
  • Jenilee moved to add $480 for Math and $450 for Science Olympiad in the 2023-2024 budget and approve the budget. Motion Passed.

President’s Report

  • Financial Reviewer - Alisa Padilla
  • VP Programs - Heidi Moreno
  • Jenn moved to vote in Alisa Padilla as Financial Reviewer/Auditor and Heidi Moreno as VP Programs. Motion Passed.
  • Financial Secretary - Board Position
  • Naziha to check with Steph Cole (Palomar Council) if the 3rd Signer can perform the functions of the Financial Secretary

Teacher’s Report

  • Corey’s Replacement
  • Marie to connect with teachers to present a replacement for Teacher Rep in the PTSA

Principal’s Report

  • Registration events were smooth and the First day of school went really well. Lunch was the best in Marie’s 7 years at the school!!
  • Welcome Back Teacher Breakfast was very well received

  • Totem Members: 96 active members as of today
  • Donations: $600 ytd
  • Michelle Shields - POC for Bobcat News - Content Deadline: Thursdays, Noon (for content to appear in the following Sunday’s edition of the Bobcat News)
  • Welcome Back Teacher Breakfast - Tue, Aug 15
  • Hospitality - Heather
  • Advertise the signup at least 3 times prior to the event
  • Melissa mentioned that parents at her elementary school donated gift cards for a waffle restaurant
  • Melissa also recommends Breakfast Burritos from Yesenia
  • The breakfast was under budget
  • Use the remaining funds for candy around halloween
  • Heather to share pics with Kelly to publicise on PTSA website and social media
  • ASB Tours & Team Building
  • Volunteers - Katy & Naziha
  • ASB leaders were great and quite capable of handling the tours and team building activities themselves
  • Adult parent support appreciated for visibility
  • Melissa recommends “pestering” parents with reminders, flyers and other means to get responses
  • 14 new volunteers signed up at the registration. Katy added them to the volunteer list
  • Registration/Textbook Pick Up
  • Library - Jenn/Alisa
  • The textbook pickup was smooth
  • Student helpers covered the gap left by fewer volunteers
  • Consider having the signup genius ready earlier and publicise at least 3 times or more in the Bobcat News.
  • Math & Science Olympiad Registrations
  • Get the flyers and the printouts with the QR codes in advance
  • Publicise at least 3 times or more in the Bobcat News.
  • Maybe have all the QR codes on the same page
